On Friday we decided to head to North Carolina for the weekend and go to Cherokee and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We are only about an hour and a half from North Carolina and Garrett hadn't been to the state yet. So on Saturday we headed out and added a state for Garrett (his 17th). Luckily we had good weather and were able to get a hotel room. On Saturday we went to Cherokee (aka Cherokee Indian Reservation) because David wanted to get Garrett a Indian headdress and tomahawk. Garrett was in awe of the Indians and that is all we have heard about since!
After Cherokee we headed up the Blue Ridge Parkway into the mountains. There was very little traffic and we had a great time. On Sunday, we drove farther up the Parkway and stopped in a few little towns. We stopped at Devil's Courthouse. David and Garrett climbed to the top, but being 6 months pregnant I decided to stay at the bottom :)
We have a busy month of June. On the 5th, is my 10 year class reunion! It's so hard to believe its been 10 years since I graduated, so we are headed to Jamestown for that. On the 12th, we are headed to Florida for 6 glorious day (barring no oil there)! We plan to do nothing but lay on the beach and swim. Then it's off to Memphis for Kyle's wedding and then back to Georgia. A very busy month for us!
Baby Update: I am 24 weeks now and feel it! He is a very active baby and kicks constantly! Garrett has his days when he wants to feel him, but mostly not. We had to order a new baby bed because Garrett's was recalled, so that is taken care of. We are slowly getting ready for his arrival. We feel much more unprepared this time around! We are still undecided on a name, but hopefully will have it figured out soon.
I was hoping to get a new camera before the baby and we decided to go ahead and get it before vacation and all that. So these pictures were taken with our new one. We got a Canon Rebel camera and so far love it, even though a feel a little slow at using it. I'm used to a simple camera!
So enjoy the new pictures!
