Captain America meet Spiderman-Garrett's 4th Birthday Party

We celebrated Garrett's birthday a few days early. It is so hard to believe that he is almost 4 years old!

We first wanted a Spiderman birthday party, but then go into Captain America, so I decided to combine the two characters. Garrett had so much fun and celebrated with his friends Blake, Drake, Peyton, Addison and Bryan (his friend Jake couldn't come at the last minute). They had yummy pizza and pasta and had Spiderman cupcakes.

This year I decided to get a pinata. They make them now were all you do is pull the string and the candy comes down. They had a good time, even with the muddy yard. He got lots of action figures and the movie Rio.

Enjoy pictures of Captain America!

Zoo Atlanta

Last Friday we went to Zoo Atlanta. We hadn't been in awhile and Ty had never been to this zoo. With David being out of town, we have to find something to do to help our days fly by!

We had absolutely perfect Georgia weather and the boys enjoyed our little outing. We went with our friends Kasey and Blake. Blake and Garrett had a great time running around and Garrett was (of course) our navigator with his map. I didn't take many pictures between pushing Ty and running after Garrett, but enjoy a few!

Late Summer Fun...

We had absolutely beautiful weather last week. It felt great not to be in the 90's (of course, that was short lived). The boys had a great time playing outside and trying out Garrett's new baseball gifts.

I have a picture of Garrett somewhere where he is swinging. I need to do another compare/contrast picture.

Good Ole' Rocky Top

David and I went to the first Tennessee football game of the year. We actually left our kids at home (well at my Mom and Dad's)! We had strange weather, but overall a good time. In the first picture it was about 97 degrees and I felt like I was dying. The meterologist (and I use the word loosely) said 10% chance of rain, well about 10 minutes after that I rained, it poured, it thundered and we stood under the shelter for 1 hour and 40 minutes with 96,000 other people! Then the game started and it started raining some more, but we just sat there, got drenched, but enjoyed the game and the best part, Tennessee won (and Derek Dooley's orange pants)!

12 Months Old!!!

His old man shot...

You can see the chalk flying through the air. Yes, the throws absolutely everything.

Having a fit because he had to come in...

He got mad, so he decided to bite his shirt...

My oh my, Ty is 12 months old!! The child is into everything and is so much like Garrett. When he throws a fit, I just see Garrett at the same age, doing the exact same thing. We will see how similar they will be.

We went 2 weeks ago for his one year checkup and he has gotten tall. He is 31 3/4 inches tall (90% percentile) and weighs 23.8 pounds (62% percentile). He finally has some teeth and they are two eye teeth on the top. Strange, I know. I am just calling him snaggles. And yes, he still has very, very blue eyes (randomness, but then again Garrett is left-handed). Not walking yet, but just because he doesn't want to. He stands up forever and steps with one foot in a semi-circle. He did manage to climb all the way down the stairs because Garrett opened the gate for him, but made it the whole way and didn't fall.

Still not sleeping through the night and fights naps like they may really hurt him. He LOVES Garrett, but gets so mad when Garrett irritates him. I hope it turns cool soon because most of his summer clothes are becoming to small and I have some super cute fall/winter clothes that I just got!

He is a great baby/toddler. He actually stayed all through Sunday School at church, but I think they were exhausted from carrying him around the whole time.

Baseball Party Fun!

It's so hard to believe that my kids are almost 4 and 1! Where does time go? Anyhoo, we celebrated in Jamestown with a baseball party. The weather didn't behave, but we had a great time and a great turnout. The boys got lots of goodies and had a great time.

We endulged with lots of baseball themed foods and yummy cupcakes made by Lindsey!

Thanks to everyone who came to be part of the boys special day!
