Merry Christmas from Georgia

Merry Christmas from Georgia! We celebrated Christmas this year in our house for the first time. We had a great time just laying around and not doing much, but playing with toys and staying in our pajamas till 4! Santa was very good to Garrett and Ty this year. Our house officially looks like a toy store now. Garrett asked Santa for a deer hunting game and he got that and Ty got a big Fisher-Price crawl through barn from Santa. Along with many, many other gifts. I probably couldn't begin to tell you want all they got and neither could Garrett.

His big gifts were a wooden pirate ship and new cowboy boots from Nana and Pa, a deer hunting game from Santa and a bunch of G.I. Joe, Spiderman and Star Wars stuff, tons of books and movies, he got Legos from Cory and construction toys from Adam and Samanta and lots more. Ty got his big barn, a Leap Frog dog that knows his name, a Fisher-Price kitchen from Garrett, some new Robeez from Nana and Pa and lots, lots more. They both got some new bath toys and clothes too!

We went to David's cousins on Friday night to eat and celebrated with a few of the Coffey's and our friends the Butt's came to eat Christmas dinner with us Saturday night.

We were so excited to have a white Christmas in Atlanta. We probably got 2 to 3 inches, which is a lot for us. It was the first white Christmas here since 1882! So I'm guessing we may never see another one :( David and Garrett built a snowman. Garrett loved the snow since he doesn't get to see much of it.

We are looking forward to a new year and more excitement! We are planning two vacations this year. We are traveling in May to see the Legault's in Kansas and we are heading to Wyoming for 8 days the first of August with my family. David is going to start a busy work year and will start traveling more toward the end of the year, but it will be exciting and interesting for him.

Enjoy ALL the new pictures and Happy New Year!

Our Typical Day...

Not much going on in the Coffey household these days. Garrett is on a break from school till after the first of the year, so we have been hanging out at home lately. We have been enjoying doing nothing (much anyways)! David's parents came down the weekend of the 11th and we had our Christmas with them and then David's Uncle Jimmy came down to visit. My parents came last weekend for Christmas and brought tons and tons of presents. Garrett opened till his heart was content. We are spending Christmas in Atlanta this year, just the four of us. Its' our first Christmas never spend in Tennessee (besides David's deployment). I think we are going to enjoy just being just us and not having to go anywhere. David is technically on call, but we are hoping that he doesn't have to travel.

There are lots of pictures on here today. The first one is the newest addition to the Coffey library. We were able to get the new George Bush book signed when he was in Atlanta through David's office.

Big Brother, Little Brother

Garrett said, "He's breaking my arm!"

Very into Mickey Mouse...
Very into Finding Nemo...

Santa Claus is Coming to Town!

Garrett and Ty went and had their picture made with Santa Claus at the Powder Springs Christmas celebration. This is Garrett's 3rd picture with Santa and we have yet to get one were he is smiling. Santa arrived in a horse and carriage with a little elf. Garrett loved it! When we left Garrett said, "I forgot to tell Santa that I wanted a deer hunting game". We informed him that Santa just knows ;)

3 Months...Already!

Its hard to believe that Ty is already 3 months old! He has gotten to be a big boy. My guess is that he weighs about 14 pounds. He is constantly smiling and 'talking' to me. He is a big time Mama's boy and definitely wants to be held all the time! He is a good and sweet baby. He has started watching Garrett all the time and you can see him follow Garrett in whatever he is doing. He is sleeping about 3-4 hours at night in between feedings, but isn't a good napper. He is a cat napper like Garrett and will sleep about 30-45 minutes for a 'nap'. There are days he will only sleep about 2 hours all day! It definitely makes it hard to get anything done in our house. He is quickly filling out his 3-6 months clothes and is still in a size 2 diaper. Here are some of the latest pictures of the littlest Coffey.

A Tennessee Thanksgiving...

We just got back from a great Thanksgiving in Tennessee. We have so much to be thankful for this year. Two healthy, happy boys and being able to spend Thanksgiving together this year.

Garrett and Ty are growing up so fast. Ty will be 3 months old on the 30th! Garrett just had his 3 year checkup and he is 36 pounds and 38 inches tall. He is in the 83% percentile for weight and 53% percentile for height. Its amazing the conversations that we have these days! He had a great time in Tennessee and enjoyed playing with his cousins Jackson and Preston. I'm sure he will always look forward to making the trip just to see them!

This picture is of David's dad and his brothers and sisters. The "original" Coffey's.
And here Lily and Garrett and doing the favorite Bowden pastime, drinking Mt. Dew. Not really drinking it, but trying their best to get into it!
I just thought this was a cute picture :)

Let November Begin...

It is hard to believe that November is here and almost half way gone. Ty is 11 weeks old today! He is getting so big and Garrett has so discovered the 3 year old attitude.

Anyway, more on that later. October ended with sickness in our household. Garrett woke up on Halloween with what we thought was the croup, but I guess was just a really bad cough and fever. So he basically dressed up for a picture and went to two houses to get candy because he cried and asked too, what can you say to the cutest pirate ever :)

Like I said, Ty is 11 weeks old today. It is so hard to believe! He had his 2 month ped. appointment last Monday and weighed 12. 14 and was 23 3/4 inches long. He has almost doubled in weight and has grown over 5 inches since he was born. He is smiling constantly and cooing at us and has laughed once in his sleep. He has outgrown most of his 0-3 month clothes and fits well in the 3-6 month stuff. He is in size 2 diapers already! He is a good baby and definitely loves his Mama and being held. He is still a little mini-Garrett in looks and in sleep. He is a cat napper like Garrett :( He made his second trip to Tennessee last weekend. He is getting a good start on his states, so far he has been to Georgia (of course), Tennessee and Alabama. He still has a way to go to catch up to Garrett's 23.
Here is one more picture from the month!
