5 Months Old!

Ty William is 5 months old! He is growing way to fast and will be a year old before we know it. He is a whopper at about 18 pounds and has grown out of some of his 6 months clothes! He is a back breaker! I am struggling carrying his carseat with him in it! He is in size 2 diapers, but barely (just because I bought a big box :). He can roll over both ways and can pull hair with the best of them. He loves, loves Garrett and will always smile whenever he sees him.
He hates his carseat and just stares at me at cries whenever he isn't asleep riding. He attended his first college basketball game this past weekend (Georgia Tech/Maryland). Unfortunately (for me) his sleeping skills are slow to come around and we are having a Garrett repeat. If only I could sleep just once through the night!
We started giving him baby cereal and some baby fruits because he is such a big boy. He loves to eat! He will put absolutely anything in his mouth. He loves anything shiny, my Dr. Pepper cans are his absolute favorite and he just starts shaking whenever he sees on.
He has gotten too big for his baby bathtub, so we bought a bathtub ring and he and Garrett took a bath together. I'll have to edit some of those pictures and put them up. He loved sitting in the tub and was just amazed at Garrett.
That's all for now, not much going on these days!

Not much new...

Not much going on these days at the Coffey home. We do have new hardwood floors in our house and they look fantastic! We had to hang out upstairs/downstairs for four days (and went a little crazy), but it was all worth it, the nasty carpet is gone! I'll try to post some pictures up later of the house.

The boys are growing like crazy lately. Ty is a whopping 18 pounds! Garrett officially has started to look like Justin Bieber, we are way over due for a hair cut!

David and I are fixing to celebrate our 6th anniversary this Saturday. Its hard to believe that we have been married 6 years. I told him, 6 years, 2 kids and 4 states later (Tennessee, Kansas, temporarily Maryland and now Georgia), here we are :) We are celebrating with a trip to the Cheesecake Factory and going to watch Georgia Tech and Maryland play on Sunday.

Here are some pictures from this past week, enjoy!

Etsy...

I have started an shop on etsy. I only have a few nursing covers on there right now, but plan to continue to add items. Feel free to pass the word along for me :)

Snowlanta...

Today is officially our 3rd snow day from our winter weather. I think cabin fever is starting to set it because David's office has been closed all week and we are dying to get out! We got about 5-6 inches of snow and then a layer of ice on top of the snow. People in Georgia have trouble driving in snow and ice and the roads have been a mess! The interstates have been shut down off and on since Sunday night and they haven't even come close to touching the secondary roads. The boys and I were planning to come a visit to Tennessee, but it will just have to wait :(

On the other hand, Garrett enjoyed playing in the snow and has went out the last two days. We went to Home Depot to maybe buy a sled, but the stores around here don't even get them in, so no luck. He played with some other kids from the neighborhood yesterday and took a snowball to the head (no worries, he didn't even cry).

Ty made his first trip in the snow yesterday. Luckily, Garrett's snowsuit fit him and we bundled him up for a few pictures. Enjoy the pictures of the snow!

4 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that Ty is 4 months old! I know I say that every time, but it's true. Time is going by too fast. I think he still looks so much like Garrett. He has started laughing out loud and laughing when he is tickled. He can roll from back to front and wants to roll the other way so badly. He had his 4 month well baby checkup and he is so chunky and big! He is 25.75 inches tall (81% percentile) and weighs 15.14 pounds (72% percentile). He weighs a little less than Garrett at 4 months, but is 1.5 inches taller than Garrett was.

He is still not a good sleeper and Garrett keeps accidentally waking him up during naptime :) Garrett still likes him for the most part, but has his moments of course. Garrett really didn't like it when Ty had to get his shots. He said, "my brother, they pricked him in the legs".

Ty's new thing is that EVERYTHING goes in his mouth!

Look Alike

I like do to my look alike posts every so often. I printed out a bunch of pictures and go to looking at them and then pulled out Garrett's scrapbook. I think the boys look so much alike in these pictures. The top picture is Ty and the bottom picture is Garrett. Garrett was so cubby and so is Ty! The main difference (you can't tell in these pictures) is that Garrett's eyes were already dark brown and Ty's are still very blue!

Merry Christmas from Georgia

Merry Christmas from Georgia! We celebrated Christmas this year in our house for the first time. We had a great time just laying around and not doing much, but playing with toys and staying in our pajamas till 4! Santa was very good to Garrett and Ty this year. Our house officially looks like a toy store now. Garrett asked Santa for a deer hunting game and he got that and Ty got a big Fisher-Price crawl through barn from Santa. Along with many, many other gifts. I probably couldn't begin to tell you want all they got and neither could Garrett.

His big gifts were a wooden pirate ship and new cowboy boots from Nana and Pa, a deer hunting game from Santa and a bunch of G.I. Joe, Spiderman and Star Wars stuff, tons of books and movies, he got Legos from Cory and construction toys from Adam and Samanta and lots more. Ty got his big barn, a Leap Frog dog that knows his name, a Fisher-Price kitchen from Garrett, some new Robeez from Nana and Pa and lots, lots more. They both got some new bath toys and clothes too!

We went to David's cousins on Friday night to eat and celebrated with a few of the Coffey's and our friends the Butt's came to eat Christmas dinner with us Saturday night.

We were so excited to have a white Christmas in Atlanta. We probably got 2 to 3 inches, which is a lot for us. It was the first white Christmas here since 1882! So I'm guessing we may never see another one :( David and Garrett built a snowman. Garrett loved the snow since he doesn't get to see much of it.

We are looking forward to a new year and more excitement! We are planning two vacations this year. We are traveling in May to see the Legault's in Kansas and we are heading to Wyoming for 8 days the first of August with my family. David is going to start a busy work year and will start traveling more toward the end of the year, but it will be exciting and interesting for him.

Enjoy ALL the new pictures and Happy New Year!
