Vacation Part 4-Jackson Hole

Love, love, love Jackson Hole! David and I plan to go back sometime during the winter to enjoy it. First off, this picture of Garrett is not in Jackson Hole, but somewhere in Wyoming on the way back to Denver. It's the largest Jackalope in the world :)
Now some pictures of the Tetons and Jackson Hole. We have a family picture under the antlers, but its on Mom's camera. It was absolutely gorgeous there and we had a great time. We only spent one day there, but was able to enjoy the square and our little cabin. We stayed at the Cowboy Village Resort and I would highly recommend it. It was private and a great location.

Vacation Part 3-Cody, Wyoming

We were only able to spend one day in Cody, but had a great time. It was a little warmer there than in the park, but definitely cooler than Georgia. The main thing we wanted to see was the Buffalo Bill Cody museums and downtown Cody. We didn't have a lot of time, but enjoyed what we got to see.

Our day started off my Ty throwing up in the car, but ended on a good note. Cody is a very neat down. We actually stayed in between Yellowstone and Cody and really liked where we stayed.

The big thing we wanted to see in Cody was the nightly rodeo. It goes every night from June to August. We went to a shootout reenactment, but it wasn't that great, so I didn't even put pictures up of it.

We took Garrett to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Cody (sorry no pictures). He did get a sign for his room and of course, some dinosaurs.

The rodeo clown was feeding the bull a cracker!

Yes, the child in the picture is Garrett running after a calf :)

Vacation Part 2-Yellowstone

We had an awesome time in Yellowstone. It rained some on the first day, but every other day was perfect weather. We definitely enjoyed the cooler temperatures! I had to really condense our pictures because we took over 1,000! Most of our family pictures are on Mom's camera and I will post those later.

Our most interesting story of our trip was probably about a grizzly cub. The car in front of us actually hit the cub. It was running across the road and the car hit the back of the cub. I don't know if it was okay or not, it just kept running into the other side of the woods.

We saw lots of wildlife on this trip, but didn't see a moose or any other bears. We did see several bull elk and a pack of wolves! This was our first time seeing wolves, but no pictures because they were far off. Lots and lots of buffalo and quite a few mule deer.

We visited most of the touristy things in the park, but we were able to do a chuckwagon dinner into Pleasant Valley at the northern end of the park. It was a lot of fun and GREAT food! David enjoyed some cowboy coffee and Garrett had a blast playing in this little creek.

Ty's new thing is pointing, so in one picture he was pointing the horses out to Pa. Sorry for the lack of descriptions, but Ty decided nap time was over and it is not a fun day at our house. Two teeth coming in and a cold. Enjoy the pictures!
