Garrett's Christmas Program

Garrett had his Christmas program at school this week. I didn't get very good pictures or very many, Ty wouldn't allow that to happen. Garrett sang his heart out and did a great job. He had his class party after the program, but I didn't get a single picture. Enjoy what I did get!

Gingerbread House!

Last week we decided to make a gingerbread house. I assumed it would be super easy, WRONG! The thing would NOT stay together. Finally after lots of icing and be pushed together by cans of corn and beans, the house stayed and we were able to decorate it. The project was much harder than anticipated! Next year I'll wait on David to be home to help!

Stone Mountain Christmas

On Sunday we went to Stone Mountain Christmas and had a lot of fun! We rode the Skyride up the top of the mountain and stayed a few minutes, it was very cold up there! The boys had fun riding the tram though. We went and saw The Polar Express in 4-D, all was well until Ty got hit in the face with a little water from special affects and he did not like that at all! We watched a little bit of the play 'A Christmas Carroll', had a very yummy Oreo funnel cake (delicious!) and then watched a great Christmas parade.

We had never been to the park before and we will definitely have to go back when its warmer to spend more time on top.

Fixing to ride the Skyride...

Ty was holding on riding down...

Apparently, I picked the one blurry one to put on here...

Waiting on the parade to start...

This is a barn all lite up!

Stats!

We just went to the ped. for Garrett's 4 year checkup (yes, a little late). He weighed in at 39.8 pounds (73% percentile) and is 41 inches tall (57% percentile). His eyesight was 20/25 and his blood pressure was great (apparently they start checking it at age 4!). He is going great and right on track for all his development! He got two shots which did not go over well, but he survived and got a Happy Meal out of the deal.

Ty however is a big boy, he weighed in at 26.7 pounds (91% percentile) and is 33 inches tall (96% percentile)! They just keep saying he is going to be a big guy. Ty is reaching all his milestones and survived two more shots! He is such a little ham and has quite the personality. He is a climber, loves to throw anything in the toilet (lately, my salt shaker) and is very much into growling. He has 6 teeth now and his bottom ones are coming in exactly like Garretts'!

Po the Elf

Po the Elf made his appearance at our house this morning. He brought both the boys one toy a piece from Santa. Po is our replacement Elf, because our other one apparently ran-away or disappeared. He will find different hiding places in our house each day, so watch for more of Po!

Crafting

I have been bitten by the craft bug lately for Christmas. I had planned to make an ornament wreath last year, but with an infant and toddler, it didn't get done. I did finally get around to making on this year, after a blister from the hot glue gun, the ornament wreath is done. I am pretty happy with how it turned out.

Next, I apparently have become obsessed with pine cones and burlap. I saw some pine cone trees at Target for $40 for two and thought oh I can make those so much cheaper. They were some cheaper, but pine cones are HARD to work with. I am happy with how the turned out too. On the first one you can see the Styrofoam, so the second one I covered with fabric before I started gluing.

Christmas Look-A-Like?

I can't really tell if the boys look a lot alike or not? I definitely see the resemblance, take a look and see! Ty is on the top (of course, since so is Garrett) and Garrett is the bottom picture.
