We flew into Denver and drove to Cheyenne, Wyoming to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days. Both boys did awesome on the flight. They both went to sleep and slept a majority of the 3 hour flight. It was our first time flying into Denver and its always nice to fly into the mountains. Our first stop was Cheyenne Frontier Days. It is one of the oldest rodeos and one of the biggest in the country. If you are a fan of the movie '8 Seconds', Lane Frost was killed at this rodeo in Cheyenne. We had a great time, but it was hot! The rodeo was great. We did a behind the scenes tour and got up close and personal with the bulls. It was a little more fair-like than we had anticipated, but it was still great to attend. At the end of the rodeo, they did the craziest thing. A wild horse race. They brought in wild mustangs and teams had to try and ride them. The day before a person was hurt and a horse was killed during this. Let me tell you, you had to be one brave person to try this and there was about 35 people who did! About 4 or 5 teams actually rode the horse!
From Cheyenne we drove to our cabin in Shoshone National Forest, right outside the East gate of Yellowstone. It was a long drive, but we made it in one piece. Considering there was 10 of us in a 12 passenger van.
