Savannah!

We just got back from a three day trip down to Savannah.  Mom, Samantha and I took Lily and the boys down there.  I absolutely love Savannah.  It was my fifth time going in three years!  Tropical Storm Debby decided to try and interrupt our trip, but the weather ended up being better than anticipated.
We drove from Atlanta to Tybee Island and spent some time on the beach.  Between the ocean, sand and rain, we were super nasty!
We ate dinner at Uncle Bubba's Oyster House on Tybee on Monday night.  This is Paula Deen's brother restaurant.  It was really good!

The boys love The Crab Shack, we didn't eat there, but took them to see and feed the alligators.

After dinner and alligators, we went down on the river to eat ice cream!

Tuesday we had planned on eating dinner at Paula Deen's Lady and Sons, but I called to get reservations and all the had that day was 11:00 for lunch or 8:45 for dinner!  So we had to change our plans for lunch.  I must say, Lady and Sons never disappoints.  I love eating there!

Ty loved the ooey gooey chocolate chip butter cake!
We decided to do a trolley ride afterwards.  I have down the walking tour, horse and buggy tour and the trolley tour.  I have to say, the walking tour definitely lets you see more of Savannah, but its a lot of walking!  It was probably my favorite tour though.

Debby finally decided to leave!

Forsyth Park, beautiful, but lots of homeless people constantly approaching you.  This is my first trip to this park.  Definitely the prettiest of the parks.

If anyone wants to buy me a house in Savannah, the historic houses start around $1.6 million!

Farm Boys

A couple of weeks ago we went up to my parents or what Garrett calls 'the farm'.  That child loves chickens more than any other kind of animal.  Ty loves them too, but he can't quite catch them like Garrett can.  They would spend hours with the chickens if they could.

Right after I took the picture, the chicken peeked Ty right on the hand.  Apparently it didn't bother him though, he never made a sound.

Ty was helping Pa with a set of twin calves...

Garrett loves lightning bugs, he probably caught about 30!

Planning for a party...

I am busy planning Ty's second birthday.  Where does time go?  He is having a farm themed party.  Here is a sneak peak at some of our goodies so far.
I got his birthday shirt this week and absolutely love it!  If anyone is looking for any kind of embroidery check out Abby Ballerina.  She does excellent work.  She also made the boys crab shirts that we took to the beach.

This cake is going to be in the inspiration for Ty's.  I have found a local lady that is going to make it for me.
His party is going to be August 18th, here in Georgia.  Invite to follow sometime in July!

End of the Year Baseball Party

Garrett had his end of the year baseball party on Thursday night.  It was at a local place called Jump It's.  They jumped on big blowup things for a while then had pizza and cupcakes.  You can imagine that eleven 4 year olds, things got a little wild.  We only had two mini-meltdowns the whole two hours.

Memorial Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day Weekend.  The weather was absolutely beautiful and very hot.  My parents, brothers, sister-in-law and niece came down.  We had great food and great company!

On Monday, the boys went to the Braves came and the girls (plus Garrett and Ty) went to Kennesaw to eat and visit Toys R Us.  I had to come home because our house alarm was going off.  I'm guessing the dogs pushed the back door open because nothing was taken and the door was barely cracked, but still a stressful situation.

We went back up to Marietta to the Gone with the Wind museum, visit the square and have some yummy ice cream.

We had a great weekend of fun and family!
