Vacation, Part 1--Cheyenne

I have so many pictures, that I will have to break the blog up and do it in parts. I am going to attempt to do it all today, but that always varies! The had a great vacation, lots of miles logged and saw lots of things.

We flew into Denver and drove to Cheyenne, Wyoming to attend Cheyenne Frontier Days. Both boys did awesome on the flight. They both went to sleep and slept a majority of the 3 hour flight. It was our first time flying into Denver and its always nice to fly into the mountains. Our first stop was Cheyenne Frontier Days. It is one of the oldest rodeos and one of the biggest in the country. If you are a fan of the movie '8 Seconds', Lane Frost was killed at this rodeo in Cheyenne. We had a great time, but it was hot! The rodeo was great. We did a behind the scenes tour and got up close and personal with the bulls. It was a little more fair-like than we had anticipated, but it was still great to attend. At the end of the rodeo, they did the craziest thing. A wild horse race. They brought in wild mustangs and teams had to try and ride them. The day before a person was hurt and a horse was killed during this. Let me tell you, you had to be one brave person to try this and there was about 35 people who did! About 4 or 5 teams actually rode the horse!

From Cheyenne we drove to our cabin in Shoshone National Forest, right outside the East gate of Yellowstone. It was a long drive, but we made it in one piece. Considering there was 10 of us in a 12 passenger van.

Garrett was terrifed to go into the tepee and of the indian!

11 Months Old!

I know its hard to believe, but Ty is 11 months old (actually 11 1/2)! We were on vacation, so the pictures are late. Ty is absolutly into everything. He did great on his first flight and in the car. We traveled a lot and got to see a lot of things (a vacation post is to come). Counting that trip, Ty has been to:
Georgia
Tennessee
Alabama
Kentucky
Illinois
Missouri
Kansas
Colorado
Montana
Wyoming

He still doesn't have a single tooth and sleeping is okay. He was up from 1-3 am last night ready to have a good ole' time. He weighs about 23 pounds. He goes the end of the month for his 1 year checkup and we will get new stats. He is a great baby for the most part. He has started pointing at EVERYTHING! He loves any kind of animal and had a great time looking at the buffalo in Yellowstone. Not walking yet, but cruises everywhere, but he would much rather be held than anything. He still has very blue eyes and his hair is coming in very light. Its hard to believe that he is almost 1, where does time go!

He got into Garrett's oatmeal and the picture doesn't do it justice!

Look Alike...It's been awhile

I decided to take a picture of Ty today because I knew I had a picture of Garrett wearing the same outfit. They are almost exactly the same age in the pictures. Of course, Garrett was walking in his and Ty has yet to take off. The first picture is Ty and the bottom picture is Garrett. I still think they look quite a bit alike (besides Ty's blue eyes and light hair). Judge for yourself!

10 Months Old!

10 months old and getting into everything! Ty was 10 months on the 30th of June, so yes, I am a few days late taking pictures and posting. He is doing great and growing like a weed. He has started waving bye-bye and cruising all over the furniture. Still not a single tooth! And yes, he still has blue eyes and very light colored hair. He is a super fast crawler and can go anywhere he wants to go. He definitely lets Garrett know when he doesn't like something and is a food beggar, he wants anything we have to eat.

He is in size 3 diapers (but not for long), wearing size 4 shoes and is in mostly 12 month clothes. Still not sleeping through the night :( He loves to be outside and loves the dogs. His favorite baby food is Lentil and Rice (as gross looking as it sounds) and he LOVES ice cream. He usually cries when its all gone.

We leave in about 3 weeks for vacation and Ty will have his first airplane ride. Hopefully it will go well. For his 11 month birthday, we will be in Wyoming!

The newest addition...(not a baby, but a car)

4th of July...

Happy belated 4th of July! We had a great time this year. Once again going to the Marietta parade and spending a very hot day there. We had planned to go to Powder Springs to watch fireworks, but it started storming here and didn't stop, so we watched some on TV.

Marietta has a great parade. I think they expected about 10,000 people to be there and there was definitely a big crowd. Everyone enjoyed it though and we all got some sun. We love going to the Marietta square and they had all kinds of stuff set up and all kinds of fun. Garrett and I topped the day off with a giant icy and headed home. Ty just kind of a took it all in and finally feel asleep.

Enjoy the pictures, hope everyone had a wonderful 4th!
