Ty's 2nd Birthday Party...Down on the Farm

We celebrated Ty's 2nd birthday on August 18th.  His actual birthday is August 30th, but David is traveling, so we had to have it early.  We rented at shelter at White Oak Park in Dallas, GA for the party.  Of course it was hot, it is August in Georgia you know.
My super cute almost 2 year old!
I decided last year to do a farm themed party!  I think it turned out so cute!

The Bubble Refill station, the kids had a lot of fun, but it was very messy!

Some of our farm foods!

Ty just wanted to eat ice...

The Birthday Boy!

We had lots of great friends and family come to celebrate with us.  He got lots of presents and has played with everything!

A few gifts from us, I promise a better picture soon!

Ty's First Day at MDO

Ty started Mother's Day Out at our church First Baptist Church of Powder Springs on August 15th.  He wasn't nearly as cooperative as Garrett.  As you can see, he did not want his picture taken with the sign.
He finally decided to uncover, but would not stand near the sign for the a picture.  You win some and you lose some!
I finally managed to get one smiling picture on the way out the door.
Ty is going Monday and Wednesday from 9-12.  His teacher is Ms. Christa.  I think there are 5 other kids in his class.

He weights 32.8 pounds and is 36 inches tall!  His favorite things right now are Toy Story, I hear a lot about Woody.  He loves movies and books and Legos too.

Ty is such the opposite of Garrett.  When Garrett was 2 in MDO, he cried and clung to me.  Ty walks right in and never looks back :)

He has already gotten in trouble for biting.  Not surprised at all :) He is a firecracker and constantly on the go all the time!

Garrett's First Day of Pre-K

Garrett started Pre-K on August 14th, at our church, First Baptist Church of Powder Springs.  He is going 4 days a week!  His teacher this year is Ms. RoseMary and Ms. Kris.

As you can see, he wants to be a shooter like his daddy when he grows up.  He is very much into shooting, guns, anything Army and Legos these days.

He weights 42 pounds and 42 inches tall.  His favorite color is blue and his favorite thing to do is play.  His favorite song in Davy Crockett and his favorite food is popsicles.

It's hard to believe that he is in Pre-K!  He loves it so far.  His friends in class are Haddon, Brody, Malachi and Harley.

Seeing Atlanta

Waiting for the Dolphin Show
Back to blogging!  I have been trying to blog, but it wasn't letting me upload my pictures.  I finally got it to work through Google+ though.

David was able to take a few days off several weeks ago and we decided just to stay around Atlanta and see some sites.  I usually go by myself because you DO NOT do anything tourist related on the weekends!  The popular places in Atlanta are so busy that you can't see anything!

So, we went to the Georgia Aquarium.  It was my fifth time going and David's first.  It was a little crowded for a Friday, but not to bad.  It is the largest aquarium in the world, so always lots of people.

Garrett loves the penguins

Watching the Beluga Whales

On Monday, we went to Zoo Atlanta.  We hadn't been in a while.  All the Atlanta schools were back in session, so it wasn't crowded at all!  It was so nice, we could look at everything and take our time.

The Meerkats

We had a great couple of days.  Its nice for David to be home during the week.  We can actually get out and do 'touristy' things.  Atlanta has so much to offer and lots of things to do.  I just want to take advantage of it while we are here.

Lazy Summer Days

I really haven't had my camera out much this summer.  I have tried to be better about taking pictures regularly though.
It's hard to believe its already August!  We now enter the months of craziness, school, David traveling, planning birthday parties, football season and so much more!
I am so ready for fall to get here, my kids closets are ready too!  I love buying them fall/winter clothes.  So that has been my latest thing.  I know my mailman thinks I must constantly buy something online, hopefully he realizes that its much easier for my to buy online than to take my kids out shopping on a regular basis (trust me, I have had my last mall outing for awhile!)

Here are a few pictures from the 4th of July.  I really only took a few.  We had family pictures that day and it was so hot, so the camera didn't get pulled out much.

We celebrated the opening ceremony of the Olympics with some flag cookies.

and of course some Olympic printables!
We have painted a little bit.  Garrett painted a crocodile and Ty picked out a snake.

They got into the paint when I left the room...
and have built forts out of our couch cushions.  I think I may need to make them an actual tent for Christmas...
My boys, hard to believe they are almost 2 and almost 5.  Where does time go?

Lack of blogging...

because we really have nothing going on!  I haven't taken pictures of my kids in weeks probably.  I do need to get on here and put up some family pictures that we had taken on the 4th.

I am planning to help our church with a Back to School Basics program on August 4th.  They provide haircuts, dental exams, clothes, backpacks, school supplies and a Bible for underprivileged kids in our area.

Right now we are preparing for school to start on August 14th for Garrett and Ty.  Garrett will be going to Pre-K four days a week and Ty will being going to Mother's Day Out 2 days a week.

I am also planning Ty's birthday party.  David is traveling a ton for work.  We are going to try and sneak in a trip to the zoo and aquarium before school starts though.

Our summer is lazily dragging on.  On another note, cannot wait for the Olympics to start and have something to watch!

Have a blessed day!
