Summer Fun

We have had a crazy busy month of June! I'm happy that it's almost over and we can relax a little bit! A recap of our month has been:

June 5th-A quick trip to Jamestown for my 10 year class reunion
June 12th-We left to go on vacation. We were originally going to Fort Walton Beach, FL, but because of the oil spill we decided to try the other side of Florida. We ended up going to Amelia Island, FL, which is close to Jacksonville. We stayed at the Amelia Island Plantation which is a 1,300 resort on one end of the island. It was great, no crowds and we had a wonderful time. We had a great ocean view room and woke up to dolphins swimming right off shore every day. It was very, very hot though. Everyday was the mid to upper 90's. I think Jacksonville hit 100 while we were there. We made a trip to the Okfenokee Swamp while we were there. It is actually in Georgia, but we were close, so decided to go. We saw one alligator and again, about died from the heat. No swamp living for us!
June 17th-We drove from Jacksonville to Waynesboro, TN. A lovely 11 hour drive, but made it in one piece and Garrett was great for that drive (the others, not so much). Then it was off to Memphis for Kyle's wedding.

We are exhausted from being in the car! I think in total we drove about 2,000 miles!

Our pictures are not in order, so I think the weddding picture is first. Garrett was the ring bearer and did great walking down the aisle, but had a breakdown during the ceremony and had to be escorted out :)

On June 20th, we headed back to Hotlanta. Our goals for July is to get the nursery ready and prepare for baby boy's arrival. I am planning another quick trip to Jamestown to pick up some of my baby stuff and that should be the last of our travels.

Garrett Update: He had his 2 1/2 checkup on Wednesday (about 2 months late!). He is a big boy. He weights 35 pounds even and is 37 inches tall (or 3 ft. 1). He is starting Mother's Day Out in August for 2 days a week for four hours. It will be a nice, but short break for me. He has been helping with the baby's things and we put togther our new stroller this week. He also managed to get a pair of the baby's pants on up to his knees because he thinks its all for him!

Enjoy the pictures and sorry they aren't in order!
