Getting Ready for Baby...

The Nursery

33 Week Belly

We are getting ever so close to baby boy being here. I will be 34 weeks on Thursday! I am ready! Pregnancy the second time around just isn't as fun and it doesn't help that it is soooo hot here in Atlanta! Garrett was born at 38 weeks, so my midwife thinks this baby will probably come about the same time, probably at 37 or 38 weeks. So possibly just 3 more weeks to go! We almost have our hospital bags packed and the nursery is almost done. Just a few more touches and it will be complete. Since Garrett was born in Kansas and we have never been to the hospital we are delivering at, we have a hospital tour on Saturday because the hospital is huge and we have no idea were anything is at.

I'm not sure Garrett is ready for him because the baby is going to be quite an adjustment for him. Some days he will talk about him and other days he won't. He told me that poop and pee is nasty when I told him that the baby is going to poop, pee and cry. We took him to Build-A-Bear last weekend to make the baby a bear and he wasn't really all that excited, so I picked out the bear, but he did put it in the crib and name the bear and is going to bring it to the hospital for the baby. Hopefully he will be a little more excited when the baby gets here. It should be a very exciting and interesting time at out house! The good thing is that David will be able to be home for 2 weeks after the baby is born to help us get adjusted.

An update on Garrett: He is getting ready to start Mother's Day Out at our church in two weeks and it's hard to believe that next month he will be turning 3! We have decided he has a good chance to become a comedian. He is so dramatic and is constantly saying things to make us laugh and wonder where he heard that. David spent two weeks in Baltimore recently, so me and Garrett went to Tennessee for a few days and he really enjoyed Mom and Dad's pool. He learned how to do a cannonball and would jump in a thousand times if you let him. He is big into cars, trucks and dinosaurs right now. I feel like we have a thousand Hot Wheels drug out every day!
That's all for now, we will keep everyone updated!
